Summer Fun and "FOCUS"

GRILLING! SUNSCREEN! VACATONS!

Summer fun is just around the corner, but, at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, it also means something else.

This is the time of the year when we, in partnership with Focus – North America:

The Fellowship of Orthodox Christians United to Serve

gear-up our campaign to provide backpacks for worthy students in the Duquesne City School District. Last year in September, did you notice the huge banner tacked on the bulletin board in
the church hall, that was sent to our parish from second-graders? Their many expressions of gratitude to us illustrate the impact ourefforts favorably had on these second graders. These little children have big hearts.

Let us, at St. Nicholas parish, continue to support this project as you have so faithfully and generously done in the past. The cost tosponsor a backpack, filled with school supplies, is $25. If your personal budget will allow, please consider sponsoring more than one backpack. Our goal, again this year, is to provide 48 backpacks to the Duquesne City School District in August.
