SCIENCE AND NATURE CAMP AT CAMP NAZARETH, AUGUST 6-12, 2023!

Camp Nazareth has a great program designed for the week!  Adventurous participants will learn from college professors, elementary school teaches, local forestry professionals as well as participate in sessions offered by the Jennings Environmental Center, the Carnegie Museum of Natural History and the Carnegie Science Center.

There will be forestry expeditions, children’s book signings by a local author, water sampling and testing from our local streams and rivers, biology and geology labs and expeditions, daily meteorology lessons, plenty of outdoor adventuring, and nightly stargazing through the many Camp telescopes.  Daily activities will include free time (including swimming), evening group challenges, and a variety of hands on crafts.

The program this year will feature a cool new element.  Through a generous grant, Camp has received forty 35mm film cameras that will allow our participants to learn about photography, take pictures of their daily adventures, learn to develop their own film AND produce their very own 2023 Science and Nature Portfolio of their week long adventure!  Super cool and super fun!  Special emphasis will be placed on appreciating the beauty of nature and the wonder of the fields of science they will study.

Online Registration is open, but will close on July 20th!!  Register Soon!
